Lista para la estancia de cuidado infantil de verano

Parents have many things to consider when choosing a child care stay for the summer. Use this list as a guide to decide which high-quality child care program is the best option for you and your child.

() The activities of the program are in accordance with the interests and abilities of the child?
Your child should have a variety of activities to choose from. Choose a program that interests your child. Keep your child growing physically and mentally throughout the summer.

() Is the program licensed, accredited or highly recommended?
Choose a program that is licensed and accredited. Check the health and safety practices program. Make sure your child will stay safe throughout the summer.

() Who will be working with my son?
Ask about the experience and education of your staff. Are they qualified in child development or recreation? Do they have experience in serving children with special needs? Do you know about First Aid? What other certifications could be applied to the activities of the program?

() What is the ratio of staff for children and youth?
In Arkansas the average staff required for child care in school-age children in an authorized 1-to-20 program. High-risk activities, such as swimming, may need more staff.
